Himalayan Environment Research Institute is glad to be associated with American University of Sovereign Nation (AUSN), Eubios Ethics Institute, Youth UNESCO Club, Fullbright Academy of Law, Peace & Public Health and Youth Peace Ambassador (YPA) to organize Seventh Edition or Youth Looking Beyond Disaster (LBD 7) in Kathmandu this October.

Youth Looking Beyond Disaster brings 100 youths working on disaster in their region and shares experiences in common platform.

In addition, In BD7 will focus disaster and heritage globally, and on sustaining the role of youth in disaster recovery in Nepal. The recommendations and Communiques from the previous LBD forums, as we as the Action Plan of the Third World Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction, Sendai March 2015, will be considered, and a Youth Statement prepared.

The co-organizers include Eubios Ethics Institute, American University of Sovereign Nations, Fulbright Academy of Law, Peace and Public Health, Youth Looking Beyond Disaster, Youth Peace Ambassadors International and Youth’s UNESCO Club, HERI, among others.

Accommodation and Meals:

 The conference  fee  including  accommodation (5 nights from  the  night  of  the  26th October) and meals  from 27 to 31  October  is  USD 200.  This  price  includes  a  field  trip to  the  UNESCO  World  Heritage  Sites,  and  other  excursions. An  early  bird  rate  of  USD 150  will  be  given for  payment  received  by  25  September;  and  for  enrolled  students  of  AUSN.
